Usually it is disguised as a codec. What Virus Heat does is it runs a fake scan on your computer and shows you the results in a small dialogue box. This box usually goes on to explain how the computer is infected with all sorts of malicious
Adware or Spyware and that it would be beneficial to the user to purchase the full version in order to fix the problems. This is BULL, do not believe this for a second. get out of there and move on!!
Remember, once you are infected with the Trojan it will display misleading messages indicating how your computer is running very slowly in order to trick you into purchasing this software.
How Do I get rid of it?
1. Back up all your files. 2. Reinstall you operating system 3. Purchase some software that will protect you computer from future problems. 4. Restore all of your original files you backed up previously and you should be ready to go. 5. Run system scans frequently, once a day is recommended.
I'm no computer dummy. I have been surfing the Web for many years since about 1992 when the first Web Browser "Mosaic" was introduced. The only way to remove a virus is buy a good antivirus or Adware/ Spyware remover.
Be aware that some Adware Removal software only rid your system of 80-90 percent of problems. You may have to purchase a second removal software to complete the process!
