By Richard James - Dec 15, 2009
When you study Spanish in Costa Rica, you will be immersed in a natural environment and taught by local "Ticos" (local Costa Ricans). In Montezuma, take a Spanish immersion course that gives you the chance to learn from locals in a fun atmosphere. All teachers natively speak Spanish and teach at a University level which assure you get the best education possible.
Classes range from one week to four weeks which allows you to meet your schedule more adequately. You will receive two hours of classroom studies each day and that is coupled with two hours of applied learning. All books and instructional materials are included. Applied learning allows you to put what you've learned into daily conversation and helps maximize your knowledge retention. With students only being accepted every two weeks, the people you start with are there until the end. This lowers inhibitions and makes conversation flow more easily.
If Spanish instruction isn't all you've come to Costa Rica for, you can participate in many other activities while vacationing there. You could try the Spanish and Yoga program which will come with a zip line canopy tour or take a horseback tour to private waterfalls. If that isn't your cup of tea, combine Spanish with the Poi program and learn the ancient art of fire dancing. You'll get 90 minutes of daily instruction in Poi and that will include an introduction to fire safety and all books and instructional materials. If you want to explore the waves or ocean, consider teaming up your Spanish with a Surfing program. The surfboard is included, as well as two hours of surfing instruction daily and is ideal for beginners. If you want to go underwater, consider the Spanish and Scuba Program. You'll become diving certified and participate on many dives throughout the vacation.
No matter on what you end up coming to Costa Rica for, you will end up leaving fulfilled and relaxed. When you study Spanish in Costa Rica, you will be able to grasp the language much easier than in a traditional school classroom. Knowledge retention will be far easier, and you will have lots more fun! Coupling that with other activities, you are sure to have a blast on your vacation!
