Successful Weight Loss on TV

One thing that can be motivating is seeing others have success on their weight loss journey. It can be very inspiring to know that there are people out there just like you that are struggling to lose weight. Seeing someone actually win at the battle of the bulge can inspire you to new heights. One of the greatest places to see people fighting to control their weight and succeeding is the reality weight-loss show The Biggest Loser. Biggest Loser places contestants into teams and they face off each week doing challenges for prizes. Like most reality shows, the contestants are secluded from friends and family while on the show. Some of the prizes contestants can receive on Biggest Loser include short visits home, phone calls home, care packages from their loved ones or a special one on one session with their personal trainer. Each team is assigned a personal trainer that works them out for hours each day to help them reach their goals. Biggest Loser is highly known for the infamous scale.
Each week, contestants must weigh-in on a giant scale on national television. Of course those that lose the least amount of total body percentage run the risk for being eliminated. No reality show would be complete without weekly eliminations. Biggest Loser also offers a large monetary prize for the person crowned the Biggest Loser at the end of the season. The important thing about this reality show is that the contestants are truly trying to change their lives while playing the game. The focus of the show is how well the contestants are doing on their weight loss journey.
It’s truly great to see a group of people that have struggled with weight their entire lives overcome some of their problems. The trainers for each team work hard with their teams to get them burning calories and losing weight. The workouts are brutal and the contestants spend most of their time learning nutrition skills and working out. If you tried working out and tried dieting to get into shape, you know how difficult it is to change the habits that led to you being overweight in the first place.
