It is possible to spend a couple hundred dollars on something that you can install yourself. By the time you are done you will have something different and that everybody will love.
Measurements
The first thing you should do is determine where you need it to be put. Some people may place it as the middle point in the garden. It is also possible to put it to the side and leave the middle for a bench or swing. When you know where you need it to be put settle on how much room it has to take up. Try to measure and cordon off the desired area to give you an idea of how it will look when you are done.
Materials
Go to your local home department store and buy the prefabricated pond liner. Make sure you go by the measurings that you wrote down. You will also have to purchase a pond pump filter so that it can stay clean with little upkeep.
Set Up
Dig a hole to be slightly bigger than the pond liner. When you are done set the liner inside of the hole so that it is tight. Put in the pump and fill it with water. Put in any fish, acquatic, or pond lights to help adorn it.
