What is 'IT' that once experienced leads to more of the same 'IT'? What is 'IT' if bad that feeds off of and gobbles up every good and simple pleasure known to man; but when good, gobbles up all negativity equally as well? You can get that kind of faith with your imagination. You must see it, hear it, feel it and have big reasons to achieve it. I had big reasons to get that salesman's job. I wanted to stop hauling concrete blocks. I wanted to stop getting pushed around by my step dad. I wanted to establish a family that was the opposite of the family I came from. And I wanted to make a lot of money. So, in great detail, I saw myself living on my own, selling lots of insurance, dating beautiful women and eventually

Did you take the weekend off? Did you? Really? Did you turn off the cell phone? the crackberry? the pager? Did you leave the laptop in it's case? Did you resist the urge to check in with the answering service?
Were you able to relax? Did you forget about work? Did you enjoy your time with the family? Did you do something that you used to really love? something you have really missed? Did you get into it and enjoy it as much as you did back in the day without once thinking about Mon

Life isn't the sweetest candy. Sometimes, when I feel like the world is just too heavy, I look around and find people who continued to live fascinating and wonderful lives. And then thoughts come popping into my mind like bubbles from nowhere – "How did their life become so adorably sweet?

Moment #3 – Introduction - "A day without an Introduction is a day that is weak in the human experience."
Every time you meet someone new, however brief the encounter might be, you have just experienced introduction.
When we experience an introduction, our focus shifts to that person and our encounter with them. We listen to what they have to say, and we watch how they act. Likewise, they are watching us. We are also wondering how they perceive us, even if it’s on t

I think it would be fair to say that we all have a tendency to take things personally. It's just that some of us have a greater tendency than others to do so. And, when it happens, some of us are better able to deal with it within ourselves than others.

The early days, weeks and months of recovery are some of the most scatter brained times I’ve ever had. You may not have gone to the lengths and depths I did in my use of drugs, but no brain suddenly plunged into abstinence is going to perform at it’s best.

Lost jobs. Lost homes. Lost hope.
It's in the headlines, it's on the news, and it's in our day-to-day conversations with people we care about: family, friends, co-workers, neighbors and people within our spiritual circles. When you're out of work, where do you turn when it seems nobody can help you or those you love?

Then it starts to droop like the top of an ice cream cone on a hundred-degree day, eventually melting over everything to form a vague coating of ambivalence.
